The Legal Unit of the CPVO deals with all the legal aspects involved in the plant variety rights protection system and in the running of the CPVO. The Registry deals with applications and titles for Community plant variety rights. The trainee will participate in the work of the Registry and the Legal Unit of the Office. The primary tasks will be to provide support to the activities of the Registry of plant variety rights. His/her additional tasks may include, among others, providing assistance in conducting legal searches, attending Office committees’ meetings, drafting decisions, reviewing contracts, providing support in the preparation of seminars and presentations on plant variety and Intellectual Property related issues. Please note that applications can be sent to the Office in any of the official EU languages; knowledge of multiple EU languages is considered an asset.

The successful candidate will be offered a traineeship of 12 months (not renewable).
