The Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO) in Angers invites applications for a traineeship of 12 months (from 1st October 2026 to 30th September 2027).

Profile / Duties
Under the supervision of the Communication Officer, the trainee will be involved in a wide range of communication projects aimed at promoting the CPVO activities to relevant stakeholders, the public and the media.
In particular, the trainee will be requested to produce content for CPVO’s online communication channels such as the website, social media and the newsletter.
The selected trainee will have the opportunity as well to contribute, should the need arise, to targeted ad hoc actions related to internal communication initiatives and if required by the interest of the service, to develop visually engaging internal communication materials (e.g., templates, presentations) to improve information sharing and staff engagement.
Key Responsibilities and Expertise Required:
- Content Creation and Management: Expertise in producing high-quality digital content, including social media posts, articles, interviews.
- Social Media Savvy: Proven experience in managing and developing social media accounts, ensuring consistent, impactful online presence.
- Visual Communication Expertise: Proficiency in creating infographics, animations, and videos to enhance the appeal and effectiveness of CPVO's communications.
- Digital Media Production: Experience in producing and editing high-quality digital content, with a focus on visuals and video content suited for social media platforms.
- Creative Vision: A strong aesthetic sense to convert complex ideas into captivating visual narratives and stories.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in image and video editing software and familiarity with web Content Management Systems (CMS) for effective digital content management.
- Independence and Attention to Detail: Ability to work autonomously with a focus on detail, maintaining a creative and innovative approach to ensure high-quality results.
The CPVO is a dynamic and multicultural working environment where the Communication trainee will receive support and guidance from experienced professionals and where she/he will be able to use her/his creativity and make his/her contribution visible. This traineeship is a unique opportunity to gain experience with a European Union agency and be directly involved in pan-European communication projects.
General Conditions
To be considered eligible, applicants must satisfy the following requirements on the closing date for the submission of applications:
- Be a national of an EU Member State;
- Enjoy full rights as a citizen;
- Have a university degree of at least 3 years of study (minimum a bachelor) linked to Communication, Design or related field;
- Have a thorough knowledge of one of the official languages of the European Union and satisfactory knowledge of another official language of the EU.
Candidates who fulfilled a traineeship in another EU institution can apply.
Contractual Conditions
The successful candidate will be offered a traineeship of 12 months, not renewable.
Grant: trainees will be awarded a monthly traineeship grant, equal to 25% of basic salary for EU officials in grade AD5 step 1 as of 31.12.2025, plus the correction coefficient for France (for information: 1.747 € in 2026).
The place of traineeship is Angers, France.
Start date: 1st October 2026
