The Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO), located in Angers (France), invites applications for a traineeship of 12 months.

Profile / Duties

The Legal Unit of the CPVO deals with all the legal aspects involved in the plant variety rights protection system and in the running of the CPVO. The trainee will participate in the work of the Legal Unit of the Office. His/her main tasks will include, among others, providing assistance in conducting legal searches, attending Office committees’ meetings, drafting decisions, reviewing contracts, providing support in the preparation of seminars and presentations on plant variety and Intellectual Property related issues. Support to the activities of the Registry to the Board of Appeal may also be required. Please note that applications can be sent to the Office in any of the official EU languages; knowledge of multiple EU languages is considered an asset.

The successful candidate will be offered a traineeship of 12 months (not renewable).
